I’m pretty sure life has been made easier but it’s easier to say it. No matter the amount of stress free technology, life has gotten harder than it used to be.

So dear adults,

You probably made it through the troubling childhood, scaling through poverty, low backgrounds, bad education systems….. Commending you for making it this far and also making a beautiful future for us, the upcoming generation but the main idea of this writing is to correct many notions and also set free so many issues this lil teenager faces in this so called easy, technology, stress free generation.

Major sayings, one of which pisses me off, “what are thinking about?”,” You have no issue just focus on your education.”, “kí ni o rí tí àwa kò rí? ” meaning “what have you seen that we have not?”. This certainly used to be something I used to overlook but nowadays I probably can’t take it anymore. I’m pretty sure it means nothing to most of you and maybe it does but yes we have alot we think about. We have seen many of you struggle so much and sometimes we are scared we would have to do the same. We obviously know life has to do with hardwork, and this is not about being a lazy generation or unserious, it’s about being scared we wouldn’t be able to do as awesomely as you did..

I’m sorry I haVe to put it this way but that’s the truth. No matter how easy how generation has become, so many things now come at unimaginable prices. We live in a stress free world, where happiness is scarce, fake smiles dominate, friendship is for show, marriages only live on certificates, love has a price and nothing Is for free. We are running out of time so much that we look older than our age and are souls drowning under the sea waiting to be saved. Living in a world where pressure is the new so called cool and the definition of life is only measured by the amount of cars you own and the digit of your account balance. Where the number of Instagram followers is another achievement. A world were Family is scarce.

A world where fathers now rape their daughters, mothers now date their sons, children forget their parents when they make it or use their parents and loved ones to make wealth and fame that don’t last . Now reason and see why our childhoods are not memorable or worth remembering like the good old times.

They say we pompous cos' we put ourselves first.

Na the hustle 💯

A world where pressure is plenty, and expectations are high, and even those meant to show you the way are the Backbiters. A world where no one is to be trusted, even when they say “Trust me”. A world where promises mean nothing. A world where enemies are same as friends, we don’t know who is who. That’s the world we live in. Yes the same world you tell us “you have no issues.” Now you’ll wonder why our smiles are scarce, we depressed for what only God knows what reason, we only trust Our phones because even religion is a bloodbath. The more reason why many of us feel like escaping reality because the pressure drives us insane.

Wonder why many of us don’t live up to old age because we have worried all the years of our lives away wondering if we’d ever meet up to your expectations. Wonder if we’ll end up making you proud at the end of the day forgetting we ought to make ourselves and God proud first

So if you can relate, I hope you understand why I prefer to sit and listen because everybody has an opinion of how you are meant to live your life. It’s not pride, it’s not ego. Sometimes I just stay away because I’ve got nothing to say, so if i seee you and have nothing to say, I’m sorry. We’ve all got so many things going on in our heads and though it feels so overwhelming sometimes, I’m sure we’ll have it all figured out even when it feels like people don’t understand.

So to me and so many of this generation trying to get through life,

I’m proud you made it this far. God, Your creator is proud. Understand how hard it is trying to get through life daily.

To you who managed and gained strength to fight against the odds, staying away from all the pressure and all the vices, keep going for all of us. Keep the hope alive!!

To you who is striving hard, keep pushing. We all know how it feels to make mistakes. You don’t have to be perfect like everyone is trying to portray to be. Yes, depression and addiction is a thing. Mental health Is a thing!!!! Success and fame is not the milestone for a fulfilled life, your happiness is!!! Remember God, the creator loves all of us and he has reasons for all he does so keep going for ALL of Us.

We have got issues and we are going to get through it!!! To us🥂🥂
